The X started off its life in obscurity. But when Mike returned for the first time, the X blew up. Whether its #45, the NBA team colorways or Scottie Pippen showing the soles of the shoe asking Mike to come back, the X got more than enough attention during its release. Soles show Mike's achievements till '93 but traction does not last long. Styling and relatively poor colorways hinders the shoe. High: Light-weight and ultra-comfortable. Low: Consider by some to be one of the worst designed Air Jordan ever. However, with the upcoming retro colorways, there could be renewed appreciation for this anniversary shoe. The white/black steel retro sold out very quickly in most parts of the country. The upcoming obsidian/ice-blues will appease many buyer's hunger for the Carolina verion.
